California Carbon Allowance (CCA) prices continued to increase throughout the week both ahead of and following the release of the Q2 auction results on Thursday afternoon. The Dec22 contract closed the week at $32.55, up 5% on the week. Despite the usual pre-auction selloff, the market closed higher every day of the week.
