Bob DeFranco

Mr. DeFranco brings over four decades of experience in risk management, working for a number of global investment firms. He founded Prism Advisory LLC, a risk consulting firm, in 2017, and Genesis Capital Partners LLC, a multi-manager platform, in 2014. 

Earlier in his career, Mr. DeFranco was a Managing Director and Portfolio Structure Expert at Millennium Partners. There, he co-managed one of the firm’s largest and most successful long/short equity strategies through the implementation of his proprietary risk and trading methodologies. Prior to Millennium, Mr. DeFranco held various senior portfolio and risk positions at SAC Capital, Aeneas Capital, and Behrens Rubinoff.

Mr. DeFranco also joined Moore Capital Management at its formation in 1990 where he was Head of Trading, Head of Risk, and Head of Research through 1996. There, he was instrumental in the build-out of Moore to a $4 billion firm. Notably, he hired teams of senior traders and portfolio managers and designed and implemented all proprietary trading and risk systems.
