John M. Holl

With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Holl is an expert in sustainable investing and international trading with substantial buy and sell side experience.

Throughout his career, he has acquired extensive expertise in arbitrage trading, portfolio trading, technical and specific knowledge of trading nuances in all global markets, and systems design and application.

Prior to Clear Sky, Mr. Holl served as the Head of Business Development for ACT Commodities, where he managed relationships between the environmental commodity sector and the financial services sector to further expand their access to sustainability solutions. He previously acted as Head of Non-Dollar Execution Globally at Cowen, Inc. (NASDAQ: COWN), where he oversaw all operational and market risk outside the United States. Mr. Holl previously started and led Knight Capital Group’s London office, which he ran for over a decade. He also held senior trading roles at Citigroup Global Markets and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Throughout his career, Mr. Holl has had deep involvement in developing regulatory policies for rapidly changing market landscapes – with Brexit and the implementation of MiFID II being prominent recent examples. 

Mr. Holl holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Albany and currently resides in Connecticut.
